Addicted to "Collecting"

I freely admit that I could be categorized as having an addictive personality. Nothing hazardous to my health, but once I start something I can't stop. It would be nice if that occurred with cleaning, laundry and dishes, but I believe I have selective addictions. I am slightly less willing to admit a specific addiction I have recently acquired. But I was organizing the addiction the other day and realized it is just about as ridiculous as Ryan always says it is, particularly since I call it a "collection."

Have you ever visited a friend or family member, and either forgot to bring toiletries or they told you that you don't need them, you could use theirs, but theirs just isn't right for your hair. How about when you realize you have run out of shampoo when you're getting ready for something? Well, I've encountered both situations and I believe my annoyance with those situations is where my collection began.

When I started traveling more for work, I was afraid I'd forget something I needed or I would run out of something on the longer trips. So, I took a few of the little bottles of shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash, and soaps (just in case). Then our honeymoon came and I wanted those things for "souvenirs." By that time, I had a small "collection" in the bathroom for those who happened to be in the sticky situations I described above. Only problem with that is....we rarely have guests...and even less frequently have ones that use our shower.

My collection has grown to what you see in the images below, and I've weeded out some recently. Here's where it gets a little ridiculous: I'm having urges to organize them (to see what I need?); the last time we stayed in a hotel, I was upset because Ryan was using the facial soap...I wanted to take it home. I'm well aware that Ryan dislikes the idea of this collection (He says they reuse those bottles - no they don't!) so after my last work trip, I hid them for a few days (hoping to get them in the bathroom before he noticed?). He laughed and rolled his eyes when he found them. I can't help myself! At least if we ever get visitors, you'll have a choice in the types of toiletries you use.
